Founding member terms
These terms apply when you join Granted & Ready as a paying member. We've kept them short and in plain English. If anything's unclear, ask us before you join.
Granted & Ready ("we", "us"). Contact: [email protected]. "You" means the business that joins.
1. Who can join
1.1 Membership is for tradespeople and building businesses (sole traders, partnerships and companies) buying it for their business. It isn't a consumer service, and by joining you confirm you're acting for your business.
1.2 You must give us accurate details and keep them up to date in your account.
2. What you get
2.1 Lists of council-approved householder building projects for the trades and postcode areas in your account, sent by WhatsApp or email as you choose, at least once a week, and kept in your online account.
2.2 For each project: the postcode area and council, the type of work, the month it was approved, the trades it needs and a rough job size. We never give you the homeowner's address, the council reference or any link to the application, and you agree not to try to identify the property. When our letters service opens, we print and post your letter to the property for you (separate terms will apply).
2.3 Our guide, How to win these jobs, and help with your letters if you ask.
2.4 The number of projects depends on what councils approve, so it changes from week to week. We don't promise a number of projects, that a project will go ahead, or that you'll win any work. Job sizes are rough guides by project type, not quotes.
2.5 Free accounts can see recent projects with part of the address hidden. The full details are for paying members.
3. Price, payment and renewal
3.1 Founding price: £29 a month. It stays the same for as long as you remain a member without a break. Once the founding places in an area are taken, new members pay £39 a month. Membership is monthly only.
3.2 You pay in advance by card through Stripe. Your membership renews automatically at the end of each month, and we take the next payment on the renewal date, until you cancel.
3.3 We're not VAT registered, so no VAT is added. If that changes, we'll tell you at least 30 days before.
3.4 If a payment fails, we'll let you know. If it isn't paid within 7 days, we may pause your lists until it is.
4. Cancelling
4.1 You can cancel at any time in your account (Settings › Cancel membership), or by emailing or messaging us. We'll confirm by email.
4.2 Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep full access until the end of the period you've paid for, then your account becomes a free account.
4.3 Your lists are made available as soon as you join, so payments aren't refundable, including for part of a month, except where these terms say otherwise or the law requires it.
4.4 If we stop providing the service, we'll refund the unused part of any period you've paid for.
5. How you may use the leads
5.1 You must follow our Lead Use rules (https://grantedandready.co.uk/legal/lead-use), which form part of these terms. In short: write by post to "The Owner/Occupier" or approach the agent on the plans; never cold-call, email, text or message homeowners from the list; don't share or resell it; stop if someone says no and tell us within 48 hours; remove any address we tell you has opted out.
5.2 The lists are for your own business. You may not copy, publish, share or resell them, or let anyone else use your account.
5.3 You use the addresses as an independent data controller and are responsible for how you use them. Delete them when you leave, or after 18 months at the latest.
6. Suspending or ending membership
6.1 We may suspend or end your membership straight away, without a refund, if you break the Lead Use rules or these terms, misuse the lists, or we receive a serious complaint about how you've contacted a homeowner.
6.2 We may also end your membership for any other reason by giving you 30 days' notice, and we'll refund the unused part of any period you've paid for.
7. Our responsibility to you
7.1 We take reasonable care to keep the lists accurate and on time. The information comes from public council records, which can contain mistakes or change after we send it, so always check the council's page before relying on details.
7.2 We aren't liable for loss of profit, business, contracts or opportunity, or for any indirect loss.
7.3 Our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to what you paid us in those 12 months.
7.4 Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll tell you at least 30 days before any change that affects you, and you can cancel before it takes effect. Price changes for founding members are covered by 3.1.
9. Complaints
If you're unhappy with anything, please tell us. Our complaints procedure is at https://grantedandready.co.uk/legal/complaints.
10. General
10.1 These terms, the Lead Use rules and our privacy notice are the whole agreement between us.
10.2 If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
10.3 If we don't enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
10.4 Only you and we have rights under these terms. You can't transfer your membership to someone else without our agreement.
10.5 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales deal with any dispute.
